It has been a huge joy as editor in chief to collaborate on Hawaiʻi Review, the student-run literary journal of the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa, with editors Kelsey Amos, Donovan Kūhiō Colleps, Noʻukahauʻoli Revilla, and David Scrivner!

Call & Response features the work of Albert Wendt, a never-before-published poem by Ngũgĩ wa Thiong’o, and many, many more.

I am honored to have been named coeditor of Mānoa’s  winter 2010 issue, Wild Hearts: Literature, Ecology, and Inclusion (vol. 22, no. 2). Spending time with the Mānoa team was so much fun. Thank you, Frank Stewart, Pat Matsueda, Sonia Cabrera, Nicole Sawa, Kimi Watson, and everyone else who continues to help Mānoa bring the literature of Asia, the Pacific, and the Americas to English-speaking readers. Vice-Versa: Creative Works and Comments

Aiko Yamashiro, Mark Guillermo, and I have been having a great time collaborating on the recently reimagined Vice-Versa. We’ve produced two dynamic issues ( Issue #5 • Fall 2009 and Issue #6 • Fall 2010: Tradition(s) ), and the tremendous Issue #7• Spring 2011: Food has been guest-edited by the wonderful Blaine Tolentino and Julia Weiting!
